A US plug may fit while the voltage does not

A US appliance rated only for 110 or 120 volts needs suitable equipment, which may make it impractical to bring for a long stay. An outage may begin inside or outside the building

The extent and start time of the interruption help either contact locate the problem without a tenant attempting electrical repairs.

Water has a public route and a building route
